Elective Module Choice Change Requests for 2024/25

You will be able to submit requests to change your elective choice module for 2024/25 for Semester 2 delivery from: 9.00 am on Monday 11th November 2024

If you have elective modules as part of your course, you will have been asked to select which modules you would like to study through the Universities Module Choice Process. The timing of when you are asked to select your modules will vary depending on when the module choice process is available for your level of study.  Once you have selected your elective module/s they will be attached to your student record and teaching sessions will be added to your timetable.

Can I change my Elective Module?

At the beginning of each semester students can opt to request to change their elective choice module for the following reasons:

  • Career change
  • Registered Carer with the Inclusive Support Team
  • Registered Elite Athlete on recognised University Programme
  • Changed mind since joining the course and feel that the wrong module was originally selected
  • Circumstances linked to Learning Contract 

Please Note - Even if your circumstances meet the criteria, we cannot guarantee your request will be processed.  Moving to the new elective module may create clashes with sessions you are already timetabled to attend or there may not be sufficient space to accommodate additional students in the new elective module.

If you wish to request a change to your current elective module, please complete the elective module choice change request form below. 

If you wish to change more than one elective module, a separate request MUST be made for each elective module choice change.

For standard Undergraduate and Postgraduate teaching all requests should be submitted by Wednesday of the 2nd week of teaching.  This is to ensure that you do not miss too much teaching in your new elective.

The deadline* for students to submit requests for Semester 2 2024/5 is:

Wednesday 29th January 2025 at 11.59pm
 

*Following this, the form will be deactivated and no further requests will be accepted.
